The Tulsi dining room doors beneath the chandeliers

Our story

A Hong Kong institution, quietly built

From one kitchen to four dining rooms across the city

Tulsi began as a family kitchen with a simple rule: cook the food we grew up on, and cook it properly. Eighteen years on, that rule has not changed. The tandoor still burns charcoal, the breads still go in to order, and the same masala blends that earned our first Michelin mention still season the curries.

Four dining rooms later - North Point, Quarry Bay, Causeway Bay and Tseung Kwan O - the kitchen remains the same: regional Indian cooking without shortcuts, served in rooms built for long dinners.

What we hold to

Recipes, not shortcuts

Masalas are ground in-house, breads are made to order, and gravies simmer for hours. Nothing arrives pre-made.

Regional, not generic

The menu travels - Punjabi tandoor, Hyderabadi biryani, Goan fish curry - each dish from its own corner of India.

Hospitality first

Regulars are greeted by name and first-timers are guided. Good food matters; how you are treated matters more.
